Monday Playlists

Happy Monday night everyone! I hope you all had great weekends.

Dora did.

My weekend started off a little…rough on Friday, was good but busy Saturday, and totally lazy on Sunday. It was also a weekend almost void of photos or anything else reporting. (Except: The Great Gatsby was horrible. Don’t waste your time.)

The one thing that DID happen that I’m pretty excited about, however, was I made 2 new playlists. I usually take my iPhone with me to the gym or on runs, and I was pretty tired of everything on it. So Sunday night I hunkered down and made this “Car Dance” playlist.

Some of these songs might look a little familiar (if you saw my “guilty pleasures” playlist).

Highlights:

“We Can’t Stop” by Miley Cyrus (a lot of people really hate the video—I find it so bizarre that I kind of like it)

“Pursuit of Happiness” by Kid Cudi (one of my all-time favorite videos)

“Bad Girls” by M.I.A. (an homage to Mindy Kaling since I finished The Mindy Project on Sunday)

But! I didn’t stop there! I also made another Summer 2013 playlist that has a few more songs I’ve been loving this summer (but are less dance-ier, go to the gym-ier).

More highlights:

“Unbelievers” by Vampire Weekend (still totally in love with their new record)

“Beverly Hills” by The Kamikaze Hearts (great driving song)

“Over And Done With” by The Proclaimers (great anytime song)

I’m excited to go for a run this week with new music. Any song recommendations? Hope you all have a great evening!
