I sort of hate writing this on the Internet for other people to see, but it must be done. I need to make some goals.
1. I want to become a morning person. A lot of things are going on these days, and I’m getting pretty lazy. Maybe lazy is harsh—I’m not getting home until the evening, and at that point the only thing I’m going to do is eat dinner and get ready for bed.
So I’m setting my alarm for 5:30 each morning. This will give me enough time to workout, read my Bible, and be on time to work. Plus it will free up my evenings if those things are done at the start of the day, so I’ll be able to have a social life again.
2. I want to decorate my apartment. I moved into a new place in January, and there are still boxes on the floor. A couple weeks ago I found some new chairs I love for my living room and I’m hopefully getting them tomorrow night (!!!), so this means I can finish unpacking and finally start nesting.
3. I want to manage my resources better. This sort of goes with #1. Over the past few months I’ve been having a lot of anxiety, and I think it stems from not making the best use of my time, finances, and relationships. So I’ve been reading a lot of self-help books lately and trying to figure out what will work best for my lifestyle and personality.
Honestly, this list could go on for a while, but I think I’ll stop at these 3. I feel like they’re concrete, reasonable goals. I’ll try to check back in over the next few weeks to see how they’re going—if nothing else to share photos of my awesome/adorable apartment. 🙂
